He creates "wearable art" using silver clay and unique glass. To him, artistic jewelry is incomplete on its own; it achieves its final, true form only when worn by a human being. His work pursues "the beauty of the grotesque and irregular"—a unique aesthetic inspired by Japanese mythology, manga culture, and the philosophy of Wabi-Sabi.
He was born in Osaka, Japan, and currently lives in Osaka City. He is a self-taught artist who began sculpting in 2010. His primary material is silver clay — tiny particles of silver mixed with an organic binder and water — a craft medium that originated in Japan in 1990. Other materials used in his works include lampwork glass, specialized glass infused with titanium and precious metals, and various gemstones.
His works are, for the most part, expressions of “wearable art.”
He draws inspiration from Japanese mythology, manga (Japanese comics), Salvador Dalí, and was influenced by the master sculptor Toshihide Ueeda.
